Anyone seeking to become more involved in how Airedale Hospital is run by becoming one of its governors is invited to one of two special events to find out what it involves.

The first ‘Everything You Need to Know’ event is being held at the hospital on Thursday, February 13, between 1pm and 2.30pm, in Room 2 of the Education Centre.

And it is repeated in the evening on Thursday, February 27, between 5.30pm and 7pm in the seminar room.

The events will include information on the role of the governor, standing for a seat on the Council of Governors, the election process, and will give an opportunity to ask questions and meet staff including the chairman, Colin Millar, and some of the current governors.

This year there are six public seats available in the March 2014 elections including one for the Lower Wharfe Valley, (Otley, Yeadon, Guiseley and Rawdon) and South Craven.
