Members of 2nd Otley Scout Group are looking for a quantity of wooden poles suitable for use in the construction of pioneering projects.
Pioneering is a traditional Scouting activity when various structures such as bridges and flagpoles can be made.
When work started on an extension to their headquarters in 2011, the poles were then thought not to be worth keeping.
Now it is hoped that someone locally may have a surplus of poles, above about 1.8m or 6ft. A circumference of at least 80mm is needed.
