The final touches are being made in preparation for the 2014 Ilkley Beer Festival which takes place tomorrow and Saturday in the town’s King’s Hall.

Tickets for the Ilkley Round Table organised event went on sale in early December and the Friday evening session has sold out.

At the time of going to press only a few tickets remained for the Saturday afternoon and evening sessions, available from The Flying Duck, Ilkley.

The event will see 15,000 pints of beer consumed, as well as 1,000 pints of cider.

The popular annual event is now Ilkley Round Table’s biggest fundraiser and to date has raised over £100,000 for local charities and good causes.

Proceeds from the beer festivals have been distributed to a number of clubs and organisations including Ilkley Rugby Club, 1st Ben Rhydding Scout Troop, Ilkley Stroke Club, Friends of the Kings Hall, Olicanian Cricket Club, Ilkley Town AFC, Grassroots Ilkley, Otley Riding for the Disabled, All Saints School, Yorkshire Air Ambulance and many more worthy causes.

To apply for a share of the funds e-mail communityservice@ilkleyroundtable.org.uk.

All applications will be considered by Ilkley Round Table once the beer festival has taken place and the proceeds confirmed.
