A prison pharmacy technician is enjoying a second job – and on a mission to “get Otley fit”.
Sarina Corney decided last winter to put her life-long passion for keeping fit to profitable use and signed up with the national Lifetime Training network.
She then began training in earnest and, after gaining her Level 2 qualification in fitness instruction with indoor spin, boot camps and circuits in September 2013, set up The Chevin Fit Club. The 32-year-old said: “I chose Lifetime Training because of their excellent reputation and there was a training centre just down the road, at the Leeds De Vere centre.
“It was hard work juggling both the training and work but knowing I was getting closer to my dream inspired me to continue and now I have two jobs that I love that work around each other.”
Sarina is now helping about 30 residents to keep in shape and achieve their fitness and/or weight-loss goals at her base on Otley Chevin and is hoping to expand in the future.
