Yorkshire companies the Evans Property Group and house builder Shepherd Homes have teamed up to deliver 54 traditional homes on a brown-field site in Guiseley.

They will transform a redundant former industrial site on Well Lane.

Planning permission has been granted for 54 sensitively-designed homes to meet the local demand for family dwellings.

Demolition of around 100,000 square feet of derelict 1940s industrial buildings will take place first so that the site can be fully prepared for development. Shepherd Homes will release the first phase of homes in spring.

Alan Syers, portfolio director at Evans Property Group, said; “The redundant site occupies a prime location within a conservation area in the heart of Guiseley and as such is ideally suited to residential usage.”

Mark Connors, managing director at Shepherd Homes, said: “The homes have been designed to be in keeping with the locality and reflect the natural aspects of the conservation area. We are experiencing strong levels of interest in similar developments within the Leeds commuter belt.”
