A worried cat owner visiting Ilkley from Spain is asking local people to help find her pet, who went missing earlier this month.
Clair Varney is asking residents to look out for one-year-old tabby, Marvin (pictured above), who disappeared from Leeds Road on December 10.
She has put posters up and notified local vets, but thinks a frightened, cold and hungry Marvin could be tucked away somewhere for shelter and protection.
There were two possible sightings around Abbeyfield, Riddings Road, on December 13 and 17.
“He is sociable, inquisitive and downright daft. Sometimes he thinks he is a dog,” she said.
“He is very friendly and sociable and acts full of bravado but can get scared by small things like gusts of wind. He likes catching leaves and flies.
“He is very likely to have been nosing around or chasing an invisible mouse in the garden so I would be grateful if you could check your garden, sheds, garages, greenhouses to see if he is hiding away.”
Marvin has been microchipped, with Spanish details, as he is just visiting the UK on holiday. His owner can be contacted on 07816 064746, or at 261 Leeds Road.
