The church on The Grove, Ilkley, chose a colourful way of exploring the story of the birth of Jesus.
Throughout the season of Advent verses from the story as told by St Luke were used to theme 14 Christmas trees and some window ledges.
The imaginative trimmings were the creations of various church groups and in most cases also reflected their particular contribution to the life of the church.
The children of the toddler group anticipated the birth of baby Jesus by decorating their tree with items like bibs and rattles, while the prayer fellowship offered a tree decorated with hearts.
The birth of the baby on Christmas Day was suitably tackled by the prayer shawl ministry group with hand-knitted baubles and special shawls for the Baby Jesus.
Another group of members went to town with the army of heaven's angels and there was no shortage of sheep and shepherds on another.
