Representatives of community and arts organisations have been invited to meet with Bradford Council managers next week over the future of the Manor House Museum and Art Gallery.
Ilkley’s three ward councillors have also been invited to the meeting on Monday with Bradford’s assistant director of culture and tourism, Tony Stephens, Belinda Gaynor of the Council’s estates management department, and museums manager, Maggie Pedley.
The organisations and councillors will discuss the Council’s proposal to move the museum and gallery, on Castle Yard, to a community management arrangement.
Handing over the management of the museum has been suggested as part of Bradford Council cutbacks on spending.
