Children from a Horsforth school have been helping to put prospective musical directors through their paces in auditions for Opera North.
The Froebelian School was approached by Opera North Education Department to see if it could help with the auditions. Three prospective Musical Directors worked with the school’s choir as part of the audition process.
The Froebelian School has worked with Opera North in the past to help the company launch its children’s choir.
Marc Dunleavy from the Opera North Education Department said: “The Froebelian School Choir were amazing last time and the team knew it would be ideal to have them involved again”.
Froebelian music teacher Gina Cockshott, said: “This is a huge honour for the school and we are delighted to have been asked. It’s a great opportunity for the children to work with some of the most experienced people in the music industry and it will be a fantastic learning experience for them.”
