The Grand Depart of the Tour de France will pass through the centre of Addingham twice next July, it has been revealed.
Villagers previously thought the international cycle race would go along the Addingham bypass on July 5, only heading through the village itself the following day, en route south.
But the Head of Route at TDF Hub 2014 Ltd has told a Bradford councillor the cycle race will go along Main Street twice.
The route will travel down the A65 turn right onto Main Street, before turning right onto Skipton Road, Councillor Adrian Naylor (Ind, Craven) was told.
And the following day, the race will travel down the B6160 Bolton Road, turn right onto Main Street, and then left onto Silsden Road.
A meeting was recently held by local group Le Tour Addingham 2014 to give residents, businesses, clubs and societies more idea how the race will impact on them.
