Pool pub's beer turns pink for breast cancer charity evening
9:50am Friday 25th October 2013 in Local news
People across the country will be wearing something pink to raise awareness and funds for the Breast Cancer Campaign today.
But Pool-in-Wharfedale’s Half Moon Inn is helping the campaign in its own way – it’s turning one of its beers pink for the day.
There will be a pink version of WharfeBank Brewery’s Tether Blond ale created especially for the occasion on tap, as well as a ‘Sing Song’ from 9pm to 11pm.
Landlord Fred Bell said: “We are looking forward to raising some serious cash for the charity, while having a really good night enjoying the one-off ‘Pink Tether Blond’. It’s not too late to join in, all you have to do is grab something pink, wear it, join us at the pub and donate £2 on the door to the Breast Cancer Campaign.”
