Young footballers have scored a cash boost from Yorkshire Building Society for the second season in a row.
The Guiseley Whites, an under-8s team, received £250 after being nominated by a society member to receive support.
“As a society we’re committed to supporting good causes in communities where our staff and members live and work,” said Bev Cox, corporate responsibility manager at the building society.
“We’re delighted to have been able to make a donation to the team again this season and wish them well in their upcoming matches.”
The donation was used to buy new kits for each of the players in the squad, which will be worn during all their league matches.
Team manager Wayne Rowe, said: “We can’t thank Yorkshire Building Society enough for continuing to support our team.
“The lads are really happy with their new kits and we hope they’ll bring us just as much luck on the pitch this year as they did last year.”
The Guiseley Whites won all but one of their league matches last season.
