Course to empower Ilkley people to get a grip on finances
12:00pm Tuesday 17th September 2013 in Local news
A new free course to help empower people to take control of their money before it takes control of them starts in Ilkley next month.
The Christians Against Povery (CAP) Money course is for everyone whatever age or financial status.
It provides budgeting skills for life and sticking to it helps to debt-proof people in the long term.
Local Christians from the Ilkley area, who have been trained as coaches, will lead this nationally accredited course in a friendly and confidential environment.
One person who attended one such course said: “I feel more excited and positive about wanting to be in control of my finances.”
The next course takes place in The Sanctuary, 6 Church Street, Ilkley LS29 9DS (next to All Saints Parish Church), starting at 7.30 pm and ending at 9.30 pm on Friday, October 11. The other sessions take place on October 18 and 25.
