Sainsbury's riders aiming for £120,000

Riders in Otley joined a mass fundraising cycle last week.
The Zone 5 Big Ride saw the regional managing director for Sainsbury’s, David Furness, and colleagues cycle 2,013 miles last weekend.
The three day fundraiser involved setting off from ten different start points and visiting 120 different stores – with participants all homing in on Carlisle – to pick up riders or drop them off.
Mr Furness and his fellow riders, who were raising money for Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research plus each store’s own charity, pulled up at Otley’s Sainsbury’s supermarket last Friday afternoon.
He has been supporting the charity for more than 25 years, since recovering, twice, from Hodgkins Lymphoma while in his twenties.
Sainsbury’s hope the total amount raised from the ride will reach £120,000.
