8:00am Monday 9th September 2013 in Local news
An exhibition celebrating 40 years of Ilkley Literature Festival will open at the Manor House Museum and Art Gallery later this month.
Ilkley Literature Festival delves into the archives to celebrate 40 inspiring years from the first Festival in 1973 – with WH Auden and a Puffin Club children’s tea party – to Ted Hughes, the ‘Minotaur controversy’ and Maya Angelou’s iconic visit.
The exhibition, designed by Val Carman, will feature unique artwork, photographs and letters from leading writers. It will run at the museum in Castle Yard, Ilkley, from September 28 to December 1.
