Voices from the valley to sing in Yeadon

A record-breaking Welsh choir with fans around the world will perform in Yeadon in April.

The Froncysyllte Male Voice Choir, known to their fans as the Fron, was formed in 1947 and shot to global prominence in 2006 when they released the Voices of the Valley album.

This became the fastest selling album ever in the classical charts, selling more than one million copies in the UK and also selling well across the world.

Four more successful albums since have helped make the Fron one of the country's leading and most popular male voice choirs.

Now the choir is to return to Yeadon Town Hall on April 6 less than two years after they first performed there.

Accompanying the choir again will be Alexandra Lowe, who performed last time to a standing ovation.

The concert, at Yeadon Town Hall, is being presented by Yeadon Charities Association which for many years has raised money for local good causes.

The performance starts at 7.30 pm and tickets, priced at £15, are available from the box office on (0113) 250 2164.
