Otley Rotary club wins environment award

An Otley Rotary club is celebrating winning an award for its efforts to improve the environment.

The Rotary Club of Otley Chevin was presented with the Bronze award 2011/12 for being an ECO Rotary Club during its 24th anniversary charter dinner.

The event, at the Chevin Country Park Hotel, was attended by members and 22 guests, including the district governor Keith Davidson and assistant governor Ian Carling, who presented the award.

Environment officer Bryan Kitching accepted the accolade on behalf of the club.
