New book marks celebrations of Queen's Jubilee in Menston

A Jubilee Book has been published telling the story of the celebrations in Menston during June 2012 and throughout the year.
Entitled ‘Menston 2012 – Queen’s Diamond Jubilee’, the 48-page book is full of colour photographs and text, all contributed by the villagers.
There is special reference to the Diamond Jubilee year with memories of a weekend of fun and friendship, including the village parade of 1,400 people led by the Lord Mayor of Bradford, Councillor Dale Smith.
The Lord Mayor and his wife Margaret, visited Menston Library in the Kirklands Community Centre on Saturday to officially hand over a copy of the book for the library to librarian Sue White.
Like the Jubilee celebrations, Sue Rix, a parish councillor, has co-ordinated the initiative, supported by the Jubilee Book committee particularly, Hazel Goulden and Judith Knaggs
