Rotarians have held a mass litter-pick alongside Otley bypass.
Members of the Rotary Club of Otley Chevin filled 23 black bin liners in two days with rubbish collected from the roadside.
The exercise, part of Rotary's Climate Week, took place last week and the club still has some more work to do to finish the clean-up of the one-mile stretch.
Hundreds of daffodil bulbs were planted alongside the bypass by the club, working with Otley in Bloom, last November.
Later this month, on Saturday, March 23, Rotarians will also be supporting Earth Hour – an annual event organised by the World Wildlife Fund which encourages people to turn off non-essential lights for one hour, at 8.30pm.
The campaign is designed to raise awareness about the need to take action on climate change.
