A visit by a TV soap star helped a fundraising cake stall in Otley raise more than £560.

Actress Natalie Anderson, from Emmerdale, joined local Bliss supporters, and Mickey Mouse, who posed for photographs with families, at the Buttercross on Saturday.

Part of the premature and sick baby charity’s Cake a Difference campaign, the stall raised £562.20.

Bliss Leeds champion and Otley mum Helen Jackson said: “We had a great turn out!

“Bliss has an excellent following in Otley and we have really raised the profile of this excellent charity over the last two years.

“A massive thank-you to everyone who baked, helped to sell, and bought on the day, with extra special thanks to Mickey Mouse and Emmerdale’s Natalie Anderson.”
