Wharfedale family fun day organisers hope to smash £17,000 record

The Otley and Wharfedale Macmillan fundraising group is holding a family fun day at Cookridge Village Hall on Saturday, June 15, from 10am to 3pm.
Last year the group raised £17,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support and are hoping to smash that total in 2013.
The Family Fun Day is set to be the group’s biggest event, with lots of stalls and games for all ages to get involved with.
All the money raised will fund local services for people affected by cancer.
Local fundraising manager Hayley Cooke said: “Rain or shine, we have it covered. We ask you to please come along and support this amazing event.”
The group is keen to hear from people interested in having a stall at the event and helping to volunteer on the day.
