Wharfedale Naturalists' Society talk rivers and peatland

Wharfedale Naturalists’ Society will have a double bill of talks at its next meeting at Christchurch, Ilkley, on Tuesday, February 12, at 7.30pm.
The first half will feature a presentation on The Work of the Yorkshire Dales Rivers Trust by Dr John Shillcock explaining how the trust works to restore the ecological health of Dales rivers including the River Wharfe.
The second half of the meeting will see Gordon Haycock, of Otley-based firm Haycock and Jay Associates, talking about Scintillating Sphagna – a celebration of Wharfedale’s peatlands.
