Scientists set to face questions at Otley Science Cafe
9:00am Wednesday 13th February 2013 in Local news
Leading scientists from around the region will give presentations at Otley’s next Science Cafe.
Otley Courthouse will host the event, which aims to explain important scientific ideas and developments during quick-fire talks and question and answer sessions, on Friday, March 8.
Organiser Marty Jopson, a regular science presenter on the BBC’s The One Show, said: “Everyone’s welcome, whether you’re a beginner, an expert or still at school. Science Cafe audience members are aged from nine to 90.
“Don’t miss the opportunity to fire questions at top scientists as they set out to encapsulate a key idea in just ten to 15 minutes, and 20 slides.”
The event begins at 7.30pm and tickets cost £4 or £3. They are available from the venue on (01943) 467466.
