A PR agency has been nominated for a raft of prizes, including for its work with Ilkley carnival.

Ilkley-based company Approach PR, in The Grove, has been shortlisted in four categories at the Golden Hedgehog PR Awards 2013 for the North, Northern Ireland and Scotland, with the winners revealed at a ceremony in Manchester next month.

The six-strong team is guaranteed at least one success as the only nomination in the Healthcare/Pharma Campaign of the Year, thanks to work with Steeton-based Acorn Stairlifts.

The other three nominations are in the Community Engagement Campaign of the Year, Consumer PR Campaign of the Year and Low Budget Campaign of the Year, all relating to Approach PR’s campaign for the 2012 Ilkley Carnival, called Saving Ilkley Carnival.

Approach PR managing director, Suzanne Johns, said: “It is always rewarding to be recognised by your peers as delivering exceptional campaigns and we’re all thrilled at these latest nominations.

“We put our hearts and souls into every campaign we work on for every one of our clients and being shortlisted in four categories for such a wide area of the country demonstrates that we are consistently getting it right.”
