Would-be musicians are being urged to mark 2013 by taking up lessons at Guiseley and Horsforth.
New Year enrolment has started at Leeds City Council’s eight music centres, where half-hour lessons cost £3.65.
The centres, which include Horsforth and Guiseley, have teachers in all instruments and styles of music and singing, including rock bands and orchestras.
The lessons are for adults and children and there are also music groups for under- fives.
Music centre classes across Leeds re-opened on Saturday and new students are being welcomed.
Full details of all classes can be found at artforms leeds.co.uk/musiccentres.
