Actors star in Otley pair’s first movie
A locally made spoof sci-fi film that uses Otley Chevin as an alien landscape will be screened next weekend.
Planet of the Baybes, a labour of love musical by Ian White and Wassef Massaad that features many local amateur actors, will be shown at Otley Courthouse at 2.30pm and at 7.30pm on Saturday, January 12. Tickets cost £10 or £8.
Ian, 46, a veteran of more than 30 pantomimes in Wharfedale, and his film-making partner Wassef, 55, a well-known agent on the working men’s club scene, came together in 2001 to begin a labour of love which ended up as a two-hour spectacular.
