BAPTIST CHURCH: The morning and evening services were arranged by members of the diaconate. Deborah Swann organised the morning service. Ann Wilkinson led the opening worship. Lex Morgan read the lessons and seven members of the congregation had prepared what Christmas meant to them. Their contributions were interspersed by carols. The evening service was organised by Graham Sunderland and followed the pattern of the nine lessons and carols made famous by King’s College Cambridge. After the service tea, coffee and mince pies were served in the church lounge and there was opportunity for informal fellowship.

CAMERA CLUB: The club’s 60th anniversary exhibition continues to attract visitors to Ilkley’s Manor House Museum. The vote for the public’s favourite image has resulted in a change at the top of the leaderboard. Karen Spencer’s image of Honister Pass is now a clear leader with Stepping Stones at Bolton Abbey in a strong second place. The exhibition is on until February 24. Opening times are Tuesday 1-5pm, Wednesday to Saturday 11am to 5pm and Sundays 1pm to 4pm. Demonstrations of photo-related topics are held most Saturdays at 2pm. The club meets on Fridays at 7.30pm from September to April at the Church Rooms, next to All Saints Parish Church. See ilkleycamera club.co.uk for more details.
