Following the Olympic success of the Team GB dressage riders this year, a student of St Mary’s School is making her name in the sport.
Isobelle Palmer, who is in Year 7 at the Menston school, has been riding since she was two and competes regularly in adult dressage events on her pony Gregonne Coco Chanel, a 14.2hh Welsh/Thoroughbred cross mare, whose stable name is Coco. She competes both in classes for able- bodied riders and a para rider as she suffers from right-sided haemoplegia. She has won numerous competitions and is due to compete at the Para Festival of Dressage and Winter Championships in March. The successful partnership has also half qualified for the 2013 National Championships.
