Ilkley Brewery director Chris Ives puts Mary Christmas to the taste test
A festive grotto and bar is being set up by Ilkley Brewery this December to kick off the seasonal celebrations.
The brewery, in Ashlands Road, will open its doors to the public from 5pm to 7pm every evening from December 17 to 21, and from noon to 2pm on December 22.
The Christmas grotto will have gift ideas for craft beer fans.
Grotto organiser Luke Raven said: “Last year we were inundated with people keen to buy gift packs and beer in the run-up to Christmas.
“So this year the grotto idea was born to give beer fans, and their nearest and dearest, the chance to get ahead of the game with their Christmas shopping and entertaining.
“Plus we’re hoping our popular brewery bar will be a honeypot for seasonal socialis-ing.”
One of the festive beers on offer is called Mary Christmas.
