An elderly woman was rescued by firefighters after being trapped in an upturned car following a road accident in Burley last night.
The incident, which involved two vehicles, occurred on the A65 between the roundabout and Sandholme Drive at about 6.30pm.
Police and the fire service were called to the red Ford Fiesta which ended up on its roof after the collision with a red Vauxhall Corsa.
A woman believed to be in her 70s had to be cut out and led to an ambulance by the fire service. Police said she suffered a minor injury.
