Ilkley Business Forum is opening its doors to budding entrepreneurs as part of a global campaign.

To mark Global Entrepreneurship Week, the forum is inviting potential start-up ventures to meet established businesses and hear what it is like to run your own company.

The event will provide the opportunity to network and learn from business owners, including Jonathan Batchelor, of Ramus Seafood Emporium, and Liz Scott, of Life and Legal. Steve Philip, from Linked2Success, will give tips and advice on using internet service LinkedIn to generate new business.

Forum chairman Vera Woodhead said: “We are pleased to be a part of a national campaign as it is an excellent way of promoting entrepreneurship, giving insight and encouragement to those wishing to start their own businesses.

“It also provides opportunities for established businesses to share and pass on their learning from their successes and failures.”

The week-long campaign runs from Monday to November 18.

The group will host its event between 5.45pm and 7.45pm on Wednesday at Ilkley Rugby Club.

The event is free and open to all. Visit gew.org.uk or contact Vera on 07990 731840 for further information.
