Addingham patient group highlights men’s issues
8:00pm Friday 2nd November 2012 in Local news
A patient participation group (PPG) attached to a village doctors’ surgery will be promoting men’s health this month.
Addingham Medical Centre PPG will be raising awareness of illnesses such as prostate cancer, and encouraging local men to keep an eye on their own health.
The campaign will begin after Rememb-rance Day. PPG member and parish councillor, Gordon Campbell, and Addingham Comm-unity Responders group co-ordinator, Alan Davies, are also planning their own moustache challenge as part of the national Movember campaign.
Mr Davies will grow a moustache, while Coun Campbell will shave his off.
