A cheque for £1,000 has been given to a little girl who suffers from cerebral palsy to help pay for vital treatment and equipment.

The money has been raised for Charlotte Wormald by Menston Pre-School, which she used to attend.

Charlotte, who was born prematurely in 2006, travels regularly to the Czech Republic for therapy, which continues at home in between trips.

Pre-School committee chairman Jeni Rhodes said Charlotte’s parents – Mark and Radka – were grateful for the donation, raised at a nearly new sale.

The pre-school will run a shopping evening for Menston ladies called the Mulled Wine Mooch on November 23. The next nearly new sale is on March 9. Both are fundraising events. Visit menstonpre school-events@hotmail.
