Guiseley hairdresser proves she is a cut above competition

A hairdresser from Guiseley has appeared before an audience of more than 1,000 at an international salon event.
Charlotte Newsham, from Yazz Number One Hair Studio, was a finalist in the Tigi Inspirational Youth competition.
She was picked from more than 500 entrants to join nine other finalists in embarking on 12 months of intensive training through camera and stage work to session hair and advanced cutting skills.
Charlotte worked on organising a professional shoot and casting models from the top London agencies as part of the course, which was set up by three-times British Hairdresser of the Year Anthony Mascolo.
Last weekend she demonstrated her creative skills on stage at the 2012 Salon International Show at London’s Excel Centre.
Each of the finalists was asked to present their two models, style their hair on stage and talk about the cutting and colour techniques used to create the overall look.
