Pupils from Rawdon, Horsforth and Bramhope were highly commended for their sporting skills at an awards ceremony in Leeds.
Rachel Foster, from Rawdon, Aneesah Kabba Kamara, from Horsforth, and Ellie Ward, from Bramhope, were part of their school’s U16 netball squad which won recognition in the Young Team/Club of the Year category.
The students, from The Grammar School at Leeds, were at the Leeds Sports Awards ceremony, at Elland Road.
Top Leeds athletes, including Olympic gold medalists Nicola Adams and Alistair Brownlee, received awards at the ceremony.
The GSAL U16 netball squad won the England Netball National Schools championship last year.
