Stuart Andrew MP with young people who took part in the National Citizen Service programme
Young people who took part in a programme to become responsible citizens received their awards from MP Stuart Andrew.
Mr Andrew, who represents Pudsey, Horsforth and Aireborough, presented the accolades to a group who took part in the National Citizens Service programme, which is a Cabinet office initiative.
The MP, who is the Private Parliamentary Secretary to Francis Maude, made the presentation on August 22 at the Rosebank in Leeds.
Mr Andrew said: “The National Citizen Service programme is a fantastic initiative, supporting young people and enabling them to develop the skills and attitudes they need to get more engaged within their communities and become responsible citizens. “I was absolutely delighted to attend the celebrations and meet such an enthusiastic group of young people and share their experiences. The group should feel very proud of working together, overcoming challenges, focussing on their personal and social development and making such a difference in the communities.”
