Singers are rehearsing in Horsforth for a concert at the prestigious Bridgewater Hall in Manchester.
The community choir Sing Live is hoping to attract a few more singers to join their summer concert as they perform the music of the Big Band.
The choir is also planning to perform Sing, the official Diamond Jubilee song.
Rehearsals have started in Horsforth for men and women aged over 16, and no auditions are necessary to join.
For the Manchester concert singers will be joining forces with singers from the North of England.
Vocal coach and conductor Richard Quarmby said: “Gary Barlow, Andrew Lloyd Webber and Gareth Malone have all brought together the spirit of the nation to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee through the community and bond created through music.
“Sing Live are also celebrating the spirit of the community and the social cohesion brought about through the joy of singing”. Full details of rehearsals for the concert can be obtained by ringing (01609) 780315 or by going to singliveuk.com
