The Conservatives have held on to their third seat in Guiseley & Rawdon after Paul Wadsworth was elected councillor.

Mr Wadsworth is taking over from former Tory councillor Stuart Andrew who resigned his seat after being elected MP for the area.

The new ward councillor joins husband and wife team Graham and Pat Latty who also represent Guiseley & Rawdon on Leeds City Council.

Mr Wadsworth was elected with 2075 votes. Mike King for Labour won 1708 votes, and Cindy Cleasby, representing the Liberal Democrats, won 818.

Turnout at the by-election was 25.43 per cent,and the total number of votes cast was 4613.
