Festival-goers will help raise money for a cancer charity at Guiseley’s fourth music festival this weekend.
The event, on Sunday, will feature a number of bands including UK Foo Fighters, pictured, and Top Notch.
The festival, from noon to midnight, will be held in the car park of the Station pub and will raise funds for the Teenage Cancer Trust.
The bi-annual event is the brainchild of the pub manager, Tony McCaul. It was launched in 2007 to raise funds primarily for the Teenage Cancer Trust, and since then has also supported local causes such as Aireborough Rugby Union Club and Guiseley Ladies Football Club. This year Tony is also hoping to make a donation to Guiseley in Bloom.
“They do a great job tidying up the town and making it a welcoming sight with their floral efforts and we will be looking to give them some support from the event on Sunday,” he said.
Previous festivals at the pub have been attended by hundreds of music fans and have raised significant amounts for charity.
This year the barbecue and refreshment tent will be used as a fundraiser by Guiseley Ladies Football Club who will also provide face-painting and activities to keep children entertained.
