MP Alex Sobel is set to hold his two final ‘Coffee in the Constituency’ events for this summer over the next few days.

The Leeds North West MP will hold an event at Robert Craven Hall, Bramhope, between 10am and 11.30am on Thursday, August 23. The final session will take place at Holt Park Active at 12.30pm on September 3.

Mr Sobel is staging a total of five Coffee in the Constituency sessions during the parliamentary recess. Sessions have already taken place in Yeadon, Far Headingley and Otley Labour Rooms.

Mr Sobel said “I am grateful to all those who attended the event and it was a pleasure to meet with people to chat about personal, local and national issues. It is so important for MPs to get out there and meet the people that they represent, and I am looking forward to doing more such events over the next few weeks. I don’t see recess as a holiday. It is a time for us to get out and about in the constituency and understand the challenges that local people and businesses face.”

Morag Evans who attended the Otley event this week said: “It was a great pleasure to come along and chat with my MP.”

She added: “ The atmosphere was really relaxed and encouraged people to get chatting about big national questions as well as the issues affecting Otley.”

Mr Sobel has arranged the events as a chance for residents, charities and businesses to raise issues and meet their MP in an informal setting.

Mr Sobel is also continuing his regular drop-in and private surgeries during the Parliamentary summer break.
