EARLY details about this year's Otley Beer Festival have been announced.

The 2018 event will take place at Otley Rugby Club, on Cross Green, from noon to 11pm on Friday, November 23 and Saturday, November 24.

Organised for Otley Parish Church by Otley RATS, the festival will feature 60 cask beers, six craft keg beers and 12 real ciders and perries along with live music.

The event is staffed entirely by volunteers and to date has raised more than £90,000 for the church plus a variety of local charities.

This year’s main beneficiaries - in addition to Otley All Saints - will be the Sue Ryder Wheatfields Hospice and the Children’s Heart Surgery Fund, Leeds.

Admission is payable at the door and a £10 starter pack will be on offer which includes entry, a programme, a non-refundable commemorative glass and £6 of beer tokens.

Otley Parish Church's Administrator, Linda Sharp, said: "Otley Beer Festival is a perfect opportunity to support the local community, sample some great beers and generally have a fantastic time.

"Don’t miss it!"
