ARMED police carried out a raid on a flat in Otley at the weekend.
West Yorkshire Police, backed by a National Police Air Service helicopter, undertook the operation on Kirkgate at about 1pm on Sunday, July 8.
A 48 year old man was arrested in connection with what was described as 'a domestic incident involving a firearms threat'.
No-one was injured during the raid, which involved a short-term road closure, and no firearm was found.
Inspector Paul Rushton, of West Yorkshire Police, said: "At approximately 1pm on July 8 officers attended a report of a domestic-related incident at a property on Kirkgate, Otley.
"Armed officers were involved in the incident which was resolved when a 48-year-old male was compliantly arrested.
"No one was injured in the incident."
