OTLEY is preparing to welcome Yorkshire in Bloom judges.
The town, which won a Silver Gilt award in last year's Britain in Bloom competition, will have its floral attractions inspected on Tuesday, July 17.
Ahead of the visit Otley in Bloom will lead two clean-up operations - on Sunday, July 15 and again on Monday, July 16.
Both will start from Courtyard Planters, on Westgate with the Sunday clean-up beginning at 10am and the Monday event at 6.30pm
Anyone interested in helping should bring along their own gloves, with all other equipment being provided.
The ongoing heatwave, meanwhile, has caused the group some problems and it is asking businesses or residents who are near a public planter to lend a hand by watering them.
Anyone interested in assisting who doesn't have a watering can should call Otley in Bloom on (01943) 462390, or via Facebook, to receive one free of charge.
