A YEADON aviation company played an important role when World Cup player Ramadan Sobhi signed up to Huddersfield Town.

Multiflight laid on the transport to bring the player from the Egyptian team national training camp in Italy for his medical and contract signing with the Yorkshire side.

In the week before the tournament began Sobhi was released from the World Cup preparations for just a day to allow him to travel across to the UK.

Huddersfield have signed the Stoke City winger for £5.7m on a three-year deal.

Multiflight Director Miles Beecham said they were delighted to be the aviation partner for Huddersfield Town.

“Our charter team worked within the timescale and made arrangements for VIP ground transport and private jets to accommodate Ramadan’s transfer, all of which was done efficiently and most importantly confidentially,” he said.

“We have worked with the club for the past 12 months on both team and management travel and look forward to doing so into their second Premier League season.”

Huddersfield Town’s Commercial Director Sean Jarvis said: “Miles and the Multiflight charter team have worked with us over the past season on numerous occasions when we have needed to move the team or individuals quickly, securely and confidentially. Their expertise is second to none and we had no hesitation in asking them to bring Ramadan to Huddersfield for us.”

Multiflight opened its doors in 1994 and since then multi-million-pound investment in its facilities has helped the business earn a reputation as a first-class aviation company. It specialises in bespoke aircraft charter, regularly arranging VIP private jet and helicopter charters for individuals and sports teams across Europe.

Huddersfield Town boss David Wagner said: “I’m very happy that we will be able to welcome Ramadan to the club. He’s a real talent and has achieved a lot for a player who is only 21 years old.

“We’re looking forward to working hard with Ramadan on the training pitch to give him every chance of success at Huddersfield Town.”
