CLIP'nClimb in Ilkley has helped two young girls raise hundreds of pounds for a charity close to their hears.
The climbing venue hosted a charity event in aid of Leeds Weekend Care Association on behalf of seven-year-old Hattie and eight-year-old Imogen - two young girls who want to make a difference.
Leeds Weekend Care Association is a charity that is close to Imogen's heart as her brother Jack has Non-Verbal, Low Functioning Autism. Imogen's family know just how important an organisation like this is when a loved one has a disability.
The charity event came about as Jack regularly attends the quiet hour sessions at the Ilkley Clip'nClimb branch. The family got in touch and the business said they were more than happy to accommodate the girls in their quest to raise money.
Imogen and Hattie's Clip'nClimb Challenge was to climb as many climbing walls in the one-hour session as possible.
The girls both climbed 36 walls each raising £388.66 - far exceeding their target of £200.
They said: “Thanks to everyone for donating money to our cause, and thanks to Clip’nClimb for letting us do our challenge.”
Imogen and Jack's mum, Fiona Arnold said: "We are amazed at the girl’s achievement. They were both full of energy and smiled the whole way through their challenge. Well done girls!”
She thanked Clip'nClimb for supporting the girls and the charity Weekenders added: "Also thank you Clip'nClimb for enabling Jack to enjoy this sport in a calm quiet period. It’s lovely for you to give time periods specifically for children with disabilities.”
