HORSFORTH residents are being asked to help find a very special missing cat.
Omar, a male hybrid Savannah cat, went missing from a house in the area in the week beginning January 8, and his owner is appealing for help to get the five year old home safely.
Omar is slightly larger and taller than a domestic cat and has the distinct, pointed ears of the African Serval he is related to.
As an exotic breed he is licensed as a wild animal but has been a domestic pet all his life and is not considered to be any risk to livestock or the public.
Omar's owner is also appealing for information on his whereabouts through leaflets and social media, and has notified the police, RSPCA and local vets.
Anyone who sees the cat is asked to call 07973 340 022.
