FORTY years of "Hard Labour" will be celebrated at an event to mark a former MP's decades in politics.
The fundraiser for Rawdon and Guiseley Labour Party will take place on Sunday, October 22.
Paul Truswell, who represented Pudsey from 1997 to 2010, will talk about his 40 years as a Labour member, councillor and MP. East Leeds MP Richard Burgon will also speak at the event, which will include a bar, buffet, raffle and book stall. A suggested £5 donation on the door will cover costs and contribute to branch funds.
The celebration will take place from 2pm to 5pm at the Guiseley Factory Workers Club, Town Street. Children are welcome to attend.Visit www.facebook.com/guiseleyandrawdonlabour or email kirsty.mckay@guiseleyandrawdonlabour.org.uk
