AS the summer holidays come roaring around the corner, we have one of the most exciting films of the year storming onto the screen: Baby Driver. The eponymous, hip and dapper looking Baby is one of the most talented getaway drivers in the business. With a signature pair of headphones blasting classic and catchy tunes into his ears, there is no stopping Baby while performing his shady dealings. This is until he meets the woman of his dreams: Debora, and he sees a future with her, away from the life of crime. But being co-erced into working for a crime boss sees this idealistic future slip through Baby's fingers, as the latest heist threatens his freedom and his chance at love.

From the director that brought you Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz, and with an exhilarating and fantastic story created around its killer soundtrack, Baby Driver is the head bopping, stylish thriller that you never knew you needed in your life.

And of course, it wouldn't be summer without an amazingly hilarious film for the kids, and to fill this void we have Despicable Me 3. We follow the hapless on again, off again villain Gru, as he finds new meaning in his life after being fired from the Anti-Villain League. Dusting himself off, he decides to track down his long lost, utterly charming and successful twin brother Dru. Together, they team up as an uneasy alliance as they strive to bring down the dastardly Balthazar Bratt, a former 80's star seeking revenge on the world.

Finally, we bring you unprecedented access into the life of one of the most prominent and controversial names in the news over the past decade: Julian Assange in Risk. Six years in the making, filmmaker Laura Poitras bravely shines a new light on the WikiLeaks editor-in-chief, reportedly angering the man in question, but this is an interesting story we definitely need to hear about.
