THE ORGANISERS of the 100th Arthington Show are promising a 'fun day for all the family'.

The centenary event takes place on fields just north of Pool-in-Wharfedale Bridge on Sunday, July 2 and will include a flypast by an Avro Anson plane.

Other attractions lined up for the day include horse-riding, livestock, horse and pony, driving and produce display classes, racing Terriers and live opera music.

There will also be a vintage tractors and stationary engines display, gymkhana and gun dog scurry along with children's entertainment and an array of stalls and stands.

Ticket prices for this year's show, organised as always by Arthington, Bramhope, Pool and District Horticultural and Agricultural Society, cost £8 for adults or £4 for concessions and children under 16.

Family tickets, priced £20, are also available.
