FOUR brownies from Burley and their leaders had an experience to remember this weekend when they attended Trooping the Colour in London on Saturday to celebrate the Queen's official 91st birthday.

Travelling down from Yorkshire by train they stayed at Pax Lodge the Girlguiding World Centre in Hampstead, and got up early on Saturday to travel to the meeting point for the youth enclosure.

Each year youth organisations such as Girlguiding, The Scout Association and the Girls and Boys Brigades are given tickets to the event for the special youth enclosure and 1st Burley Brownies were lucky enough to be successful in the Girlguiding ticket ballot.

The girls had a great view of the soldiers, horses and the Royal family including Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth as they arrived at Horseguards Parade and were really excited to get waves from the Duchess of Cambridge, Prince Harry and the Duke of Edingburgh. The highlights of their visit were seeing the royal family and all the horses.
